Root yourself in practice

  • Spiritual Meaning

Mala beads have great spiritual meaning, which makes them an important piece of mindful meditation and yoga practices. They can have a big effect on how you approach your mental health by helping you focus your thoughts on finding your true inner self.

  • Benefits

Malas can act as a cue to help control breathing while meditating.  You can use these beads to track when to inhale and exhale; to improve and regulate your breath spans - helping you make deep connections between your mind, body, and soul. Since it calms your mind, it allows you to delve further into achieving a peaceful state of mind and obtaining mindfulness

  • Varieties

There are many types and styles of Malas - full 108-bead malas that resemble a necklace, half double wrap malas, and wrist mala bracelets. Necklace malas are the most common, but the yoga commuity loves our wrist mala bracelets as well.

Traditional necklace malas typically contain 108 beads and an additional central one as the largest ‘guru’ bead. Half malas simply have 54 beads.

  • Material Sources

We source our mala materials through a variety of methods - most often through the practice of ethical re-purposing of items. Each bead is carefully chosen, cleansed and blessed before being assembled into your unique mala. Because every mala is unique, we offer a lifetime guarantee on every piece.
